Job Description: As the Production Supervisor, you will be at the forefront of our brewery's production, brewing beer, packaging, overseeing the production team, and ensuring that quality and efficiency are paramount. This role combines a lot of brewing work on the production floor with weekly administrative responsibilities as well. If you're a no-nonsense professional who thrives in a driven environment and can seamlessly switch between production work and administrative tasks, this role is for you.
Key Responsibilities:
Hands-On Leadership: Lead by example on the production floor, working alongside our brewers to meet production targets efficiently. Managing employees day-to-day and week-to-week.
Production Excellence: Oversee recipe creation, production, and quality control, ensuring that every batch meets our high standards.
Vendor Coordination: Collaborate efficiently with vendors to procure ingredients, equipment, and supplies, cutting through the red tape.
Maintenance Focus: Prioritize equipment maintenance and preventive measures, keeping our operation running smoothly.
Safety Champion: Uphold a no-nonsense approach to safety by maintaining and enforcing protocols.
Efficient SOPs: Develop, streamline, and execute Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to maximize efficiency.
Results-Driven Collaboration: Collaborate with the taproom, sales department, and other departments to ensure orders are met and goals are aligned with other departments.
Administrative Tasks: Manage administrative duties, including record-keeping, scheduling, and coordination of production plans.
Communication: Cut through the noise with clear, direct communication both within the production team and with other departments.
Taproom and Sales Coordination: Ensure orders are fulfilled efficiently to meet sales targets.
Log Keeping: Maintain meticulous records of all brewing procedures, operations, and recipes.
Supervision: Maintain a disciplined and efficient production area, upholding safety, policies, and quality standards.
Meetings: Conduct efficient meetings with the production team and upper management to keep everyone on the same page.
Qualifications:
A seasoned leader with a proven track record in brewing or beverage production. At least 3-7 years minimum of commercial brewing experience.
1-2 years experience in supervising/managing teams.
A no-nonsense approach to leadership and problem-solving.
Ability to manage and supervise individuals on your team, and collaborative attitude with other departments in the company.
Exceptional communication and organizational skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Ekos Software.
A relentless commitment to safety and quality.
Forklift operation experience and the ability to train team members.
Willingness to adapt to a fast-paced production environment.
A positive attitude and passion for the beverage industry and a hunger for growth.
Ability on occasion to positively represent the company outside of the facility and possibly travel.
