We operate a 20 bbl two vessel Deutsche brew house with a 2.5 bbl pilot system. We can using a Wild Goose Evolution Series WG4 with a Ska depalletizer. Our beers see distribution in the Greater Atlanta area, northern Georgia, and western Georgia. Meanwhile, our pilot system enables us to create a wide (and wild) variety of beers and to collaborate with our community for Taproom-only releases.
We require a packaging technician and cellarhuman with at least two years of production experience for this full-time opportunity.

Position Summary:
The Cellarhuman/Packaging Technician is responsible for performing a variety of fundamental and supportive tasks befitting a production brewery, including canning, bottling, kegging, vessel CIP, yeast wrangling, basic lab duties, and general housekeeping operations, with assistance in brew house operations and maintenance duties as needed.
This position will report directly to the Head Brewer, ensuring implementation of all standard operating procedures to maintain consistency, quality, and efficiency throughout the production process. A thorough understanding of all aspects of beer production, including CIP procedures, safety, packaging, yeast wrangling, wort production, and QA/QC is required.
Essential Job Functions:
•Adheres to and advances all safety protocols set in place by the Owner and Head Brewer
•Leads packaging operations, including can, keg, and bottle filling; labeling; palletizing; wrapping; and warehousing
•Cleans and performs preventative maintenance on facilities and equipment as assigned
•Assists in and performs beer production operations, including cellar and laboratory processes, vessel CIP, wort production, and other beer production tasks
•Assists in and performs essential warehousing functions, including accepting and fulfilling shipments, and inventorying materials
•Supports fellow brewery staff in their respective responsibilities as assigned by the Head Brewer
•Maintains detailed records and quality control reporting
•Maintains inventories of raw and finished goods
•Leads public tours, education, and tastings, and interacts positively with brewery guests, co-workers, accounts, distributors, and suppliers
•Participates in festivals and promotional events as needed
•Keeps a flexible schedule to accommodate demands of a growing production brewery
•Understands that additional duties may be assigned as dictated by circumstance
Required Qualifications:
•To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
•At least two years of professional experience in a brewing or food/beverage processing facility
•Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and more) and Internet browsers
•Strong mechanical aptitude
•Ability to become a Cicerone Certified Beer Server within three months
•Able to mentor and train less experienced brewers in the cellar and brewhouse
•Integrity, punctuality, reason, patience
• Ability to help out with other aspects and various areas of the business as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
•Formal and documented education in brewing or packaging science, or a degree in Science, Maintenance, Engineering, or a similar field
•Prior experience operating a lift truck. Additional training and certification will be provided by the employer
•Enthusiasm for craft beer and a commitment to understanding and supporting beer quality
•First level Cicerone certification (Certified Beer Server)
• Experience speaking to groups, large and small
Mental and Physical Requirements:
•The ability to work unsupervised while maintaining established safety and quality standards
•A desire to learn and demonstrate best practices and assist in developing a quality-oriented standard of protocol in a new brewery setting
•An understanding of Lock Out / Tag Out, Confined Space Entry, and other important core safety protocols
•The capacity to manage multiple processes simultaneously and adapt to the irregularities of a shifting production schedule
•Fastidious workmanship and attention to detail
•Excellent communication skills and a collaborative attitude
•Exemplary productivity and self-directness
•Stands, walks, crouches, and lifts regularly throughout duration of shift, including continual dragging carrying, and manipulation of hoses, pumps, carts, buckets, carts, tools, and reservoirs
•Must be able to perform continuous bending, twisting, stooping, reaching and lifting of moderate to heavy weight material up to 165 lb
•Must be able to work standing for extended periods. While we try to keep shifts under ten hours, if you’ve been in the industry long enough to apply for this job, you know how easily a day can go off the rails. If you can’t handle the crazy days, please move on
•Must be able to interpret specifications, convert tables, and make calculations
